ElizabethThis past Saturday was a pretty lousy day, where something that was supposed to be less than 2hrs, ended up taking essentially the entire day due to everything imaginable not working right and then some. Sunday however was an excellent day. [info]tsuzusushi came by for a late breakfast. We hung out a bit after. She was looking for pictures, so I took some. (the one I thought cutest, and a few others to the left / on flickr) Then [info]yoshikochan came over, we had lunch, worked on cosplay (mostly electric waves girl from Furuba for her, Nyx for me), had dinner. Made decent headway I think for the time I spent on it. Though I probably should have spent more time.


Since all the cool kids are doing it, here's a bit of my work-in-progress on Nyx from Neo Angelique for [info]whitelilacs's group.

Liking all the pictures! The lighting fits all of them.Everyone looks great.

And the sewing job is amazing. Its so neat and crisp! Can't wait to see the whole costume.

Thankfully the frabric handles seam-ripping & re-sewing very well. I needed a few takes for each level with the angles in the second pic. Hopefully I can maintain this slow & steady pace, rather than rushing when it gets closer to AX and getting sloppy.

Yup, Otakon is pretty open.

Omgs the craftsman ship ;.; *so jealous* I'm still in a Fanime-cosplay!denial mode ;.; No confidence in Rene whatsever... and I keep forgetting to put in color contacts as practice. OTL And I need to get yellow facepaint for eyebrows... I have a feeling these are things that aren't going to happen... ;.;

Eyebrows are often a little darker (mine are), so I don't think it's that distracting. And in most pictures it's hard to tell eyecolor anyway. (Or at least so I tell myself ::is paranoid about contacts::)

:3 I still need to lighten mine. Maybe a light brown? Someone recommended I use foundation but it totally didn't stick to the eyebrows. .__.; The contacts make a difference! I noticed when I used them for Shun; it really does look better. But it's hard ;.; it took so long to get them in and then I kept being bothered by them and had to take them out after a few hours. >.<

The shoots weren't that exciting.

Any specific filenames of pictures you liked? (possibly pending some editing, since those are all pretty close to straight from the camera)
Any specific ones you think really didn't capture/suit her well?
